NBC's Josh Elliott Is Married to ABC's Liz Cho! See Their Wedding-Day Photos

TV anchors Josh Elliott and Liz Cho have some major breaking news - they're married! NBC Sports' Elliott and ABC Eyewitness News' Cho, who got engaged last summer, tied the knot Saturday in front of a small gathering of friends and family during an intimate ceremony in Montecito, California, People reports.

The couple said "I do" in front of 70 guests in the lush gardens of the Villa Sevillano private estate (photo below), a sprawling 22-acre compound that boasts manicured grounds with orchards of citrus and olive trees, beautiful floral gardens, equestrian facilities and a 10,000-square-foot main house, all surrounded with breathtaking views of the crashing Pacific Ocean and Santa Barbara mountains.

The bride wore a rose petal-hued Romona Keveza silk gown, which featured a ruched back, draped neckline and one draped strap that fell delicately over one of her shoulders, as seen in photos shared by wedding guests on social media, and carried a pink-and-white bouquet. The groom donned a navy suit by Zegna. The Weather Channel's Sam Champion, who previously worked with Elliott at Good Morning America before the reporter headed to NBC Sports, served as the couple's lighthearted officiant.

"It's going to be a great beautiful weekend in a great beautiful, place that means everything to us, with people that are just the fabric of our lives," Elliott told People ahead of the event. The support and love from friends and family couldn't have come at a better time: Elliott's mom suddenly died just three weeks ago after going into septic shock.

"At first we were really overwhelmed by the whole notion of the wedding," Elliott said. Following such a tragic loss, "You don't really care about what flavor taco to have at the rehearsal dinner. But then we realized it's a great chance to cherish time with friends and family." Added Cho, "His mom would have said there is no way you're canceling this on my account."

Instead they honored his mother's memory with "an empty chair at the ceremony and at the reception to make sure that she's with us throughout," Elliott said of their thoughts while planning. "She'll be missed but in the best ways, she'll be there."

Elliott's daughter Sarina, 6, and Cho's daughter, Louisa, 8, both from their first marriages, served as maids of honor. Guests included their news colleagues Bill Ritter, Lee Goldberg, GMA's "Deals and Steals" contributor Tory Johnson, Will Reeve and Matt Ginella.
